(Sault Ste. Marie, ON March 6, 2024) – Yesterday, our college community proudly joined together to celebrate the outstanding academic achievements of 248 first year students at the annual President’s Academic Excellence Scholarship Ceremony. The ceremony honoured qualifying first-year students who achieved an overall grade point average (GPA) of 4.0.
“As president of Sault College, I look forward to the many opportunities to celebrate the successes of our students,” said David Orazietti, President Sault College. “It was an honour to stand alongside each of these students and present them with this scholarship that encompasses and reflects their hard work, dedication, and strong commitment to their academics. Achieving a 4.0 is an amazing accomplishment and on behalf of Sault College, I extend our sincere congratulations to each recipient.”
Recognizing student achievements through the Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards (SBA) program has been a pillar of Sault College since 1972. To complement this, we’re proud to support the first-year students, who applied online to the SBA program, who were recognized at the 2023-24 President’s Academic Excellence Scholarship ceremony for achieving a 4.0 GPA in the fall semester. The academic excellence of our students will continue to be celebrated at the annual Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards event being held on March 19, 2024, at the Quattro Hotel and Conference Centre. This exciting event will honour the recipients of the donor sponsored Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards.
